One sure sign that the Spring months are winding down and Summer is nearly here is when the sound of sweet music fills the air from the Centennial Square stage, just minutes from your new home in the South Lakes neighborhood, signifying the return on June 16 of the Follow Me to Fuquay Varina Spring Concert Series.
Coming back to the downtown Fuquay Varina area for the third consecutive year, the Follow Me to Fuquay Varina Spring Concert Series has become one of the most popular outdoor events for members of the local community of all ages to enjoy great music, tasty local beverages and foods, and most importantly have fun. With several local breweries on hand, the adults can delight in sampling and tasting a nice cold beer while supporting local business, while the entire family can enjoy th4e variety of foods and treats available in the downtown area.
The first scheduled performance for the 2016 Follow Me to Fuquay Varina Spring Concert Series will be on Thursday, June 16 and feature the rollicking party time sounds from Hip Pocket. Playing a vast selection of feel good tunes that range from Mowtown hits to 80’s pop to more modern rock and all points in between, come out between 6:30-9:30 p.m. and see why their slogan is, “Check us out and get the party started.”
The following week, on Wednesday, June 22, Raleigh’s “Band of Oz” will take the downtown Fuquay stage, with a dynamic, eight piece ensemble that includes a full horn section. With their roots playing together stemming back to the mid-1960’s, the now polished sound of this Southeastern beach music favorite is a perfect fit for the jovial setting that is the Follow Me to Fuquay Varina Spring Concert Series.
Centennial Square is located at 102 North Main Street in downtown Fuquay Varina. The town does ask that no pets or coolers are brought to the Follow Me to Fuquay Varina Spring Concert Series.
