The cold of winter turning into the warmer days of spring signifies one thing for Triangle area residents, as the premier outdoor event venue, Cary’s Koka Booth Ampitheatre reopens only a short drive from your new home at the South Lakes community in Fuquay Varina kicking off the Spring schedule of Koka Booth Spring Events with the annual Beer and Bacon Festival on Saturday, April 8.
Showcasing 75 craft beers and food from 15 area restaurants from the local area as well as brews from across the globe to be sampled, Koka Booth’s “Bacon and Beer Festival” is slowly becoming a tradition among Koka Booth Spring Events. Referred to by their own website as “Cary’s Porkiest Playtime,” the “all-you-care-to-taste” event also showcases 10 different bacons from across the United States.
In addition to the wide array of craft beers and multitude of bacon themed dishes, those in attendance at the “Beer and Bacon Fest” will receive several goodies that they can bring home as a keepsake from this Koka Booth Spring event. A free souvenir glass commemorating the event as well as a t-shirt for each of the first 100 guests in line at each session are just the start of the gifts courtesy of Koka Booth Amphitheatre. In addition, there are live local music acts on the Koka Booth stage the entire day and a $500 “Best Bacon Dish” contest as well. On top of an estimated 2 Tons of bacon will be cooked on the griddles on hand at the event, there will also be a “Butchering 101” class hosted on the venue’s main stage.
You will not want to delay in getting tickets early for the “Beer and Bacon Fest,” as last years event sold out completely. Several different ticket options are available, prices varying for VIP sessions to regular beer tasting admission.
