Four Triangle Area Towns Named Best in State to Find Jobs


The personal finance website, “NerdWallet” conducted a study, looking at 46 towns across the state of North Carolina and analyzing which were the best to find employment. Four Triangle area towns, Holly Springs, Cary, Wake Forest, and Apex all ranked with in the top ten.
Holly Springs was second across the state in the rankings, with NerdWallet citing the town’s proximity to an array of health and life science job opportunities. Employers such as Rex Healthcare, GlaxoSmithKline, and WakeMed in addition to Wake County Public Schools were noted as the principal employers nearby Holly springs.

The number three town on the list was Wake Forest, which the report referred to as a “hub of technology” and giving credit to the strong economic division in the town for its high ranking.

Cary was the seventh town on the list, with NerdWallet noting “the town’s well-educated workforce” and Cary’s Chamber of Commerce as main reasons for the advancement of economic development, which in turn has helped local businesses to grow and prosper.

Rounding out the top ten was Apex, where the report notes, “crediting the town’s Small Business and Technology Development Center for fostering a pro-growth environment.”
