It has become as much of a honored tradition as the Super Bowl or the World Series, and starting with first round contests on Thursday, March 18 and then hosting second round games on Saturday, March 20, “March Madness” arrives to the area, just a short drive from your new home in Fuquay Varina’s South Lakes community, at the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament in Raleigh.
The home of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s North Carolina State (NC State) Wolfpack, PNC Arena, will play host to four days of games filled with “buzzer-beating” and “bracket-busting” excitement as part of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament in Raleigh. The Triangle area is well known for its fanatical support of their college basketball squads, which in addition to the Wolfpack includes a pair of perennial favorites who are always a threat to make a run to the “Final Four,” the Duke Blue Devils and the University of North Carolina Tarheels. Thus, regardless of how the teams are seeded and who plays in the games at PNC Arena, the crowd at the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament in Raleigh is guaranteed to be a passionate one.
