Connick, Jr. who has not only received high accolades for in the field of music as a past Grammy Award winner, but also has achieved stardom as an Emmy award winning actor will bring his show to Cary on Tuesday, July 9 in support of his new release, “Every Man Should Know.”
In addition to these two highly anticipated shows, there will also be a wide array of other entertainment options as July heats up at the Amphitheatre, beginning with a free show put on by the Town of Cary celebrating our nation’s birthday as the “Triangle’s Best Independence Day Celebration” will be a fun filled day of activities and music for sure on Thursday, July 4. Later that weekend on the 6th, the North Carolina Symphony will present its final show of the Summerfest Series, “1812 Overture.” For the film buffs in the area both young and old, the Koka Booth “Movies by Moonlight” continues with three installments this month, beginning with “Steel Magnolias” on Friday, July 12. The little ones will take great joy in heading out to watch the big screen at the amphitheater on the following Friday (July 19), as Disney’s “Wreck-It Ralph” will be shown. The third movie of the month will be “Silver Linings Playbook,” with a star studded cast including Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, and Robert DeNiro, on July 26. The month of July at Koka Booth Amphitheatre comes to a close on Saturday, July 27 with some great music for a great cause, as part of the “Mariposa Music Festival.” The festival, featuring an eclectic mix of all types of music throughout the day, is aimed at raising awareness for the Mariposa School that aids children with autism and other developmental delays. Proceeds from this event will go directly to this fantastic cause.
