One sure fire way to tell that the cold days of winter are turning into nicer spring days, which will lead to a red hot summer of entertainment is the release of all the world class acts and events heading into the month of May being released for Cary’s Koka Booth Amphitheater.

Starting off with a bang, country music legend, Willie Nelson will be joined by Allison Kraus and Union Station in a big kick off to the season concert at Koka Booth on Sunday, May 4. Moving from country to the opera, on Saturday, May 17 “Opera in the Pines” takes its fabulous show to center stage at the amphitheater, before the unique stylings of Jack Johnson runs through Cary on May 21. The final two Saturday’s of the month are truly a sign that the sunny days of summer are on their way, as the annual North Carolina Symphony “Summerfest” begins on the 24th with the performance of “Beethoven’s Fifth.” To end the month, on May 31, the second installment of “Summerfest” welcomes Carmina Burana to Koka Booth.
