Walnut Creek: Bringing the best to Raleigh

One surefire sign that summer has arrived in the Triangle area is when the biggest names in music get set to take the stage, just minutes down the road from your brand new home in the South Lakes development, at Raleigh’s premier outdoor concert venue, Walnut Creek Amphitheatre.

As the spring turns to summer, Walnut Creek always seems to kick off its “red hot” concert season with a bang, and this year is no different, as the legendary Jimmy Buffet and the Coral Reefer Band will take the stage on April 22. Then, just a few days later, on April 25, the popular sounds of Lady Antebellum will fill the air at Walnut Creek. Heading into May, the classic 1980’s duo of Daryl Hall and John Oats will be at the amphitheater on May 3, followed by Dierks Bentley on the 10th. Another nostalgic trip down memory lane will see the classic rock pairing of Journey and the Steve Miller Band playing their hits to the Raleigh crowd on May 29, and heading into June, Luke Bryan will make a two night stop on his “That’s My Kind of Night Tour” on June 7-8. Country superstar, Tim McGraw comes to town June 22, with the Goo Goo Dolls and Daughtry kicking off the month of July at Walnut Creek on the 8th. Heading once again back down memory lane, Lionel Ritchie and then KISS with Def Leppard come in on July 19 and 20 respectively, while July 22 and 23 will see Fall Out Boy and the Dave Matthews band perform. Rounding out the lineup for July, Rascal Flatts and Sheryl Crow will share the bill at walnut Creek on July 25.

With a wide variety of world renowned acts in all genres of music, Walnut Creek is the perfect spot to take in some great music, while soaking in the sun this summer.
