For the twelfth consecutive year, the Downtown Revitilization Association will show its unparralled support to the Arts in Fuquay Varina, hosting its wildly popular, annual festival just a quick drive from your new house in the South Lakes new home neighborhood, with the “Celebration of the Arts” on June 6.
From the events humble beginnings as a “street type art fair” in 2003, to the highly anticipated yearly festival it has become, “Celebration of the Arts” truly is a tip of the cap to the thriving scene that is the Arts in Fuquay Varina.
Falling each year during the town wide “Celebrate Fuquay Varina” festival, this event showcases the Arts in Fuquay Varina like no other, with over 80 vendors expected to be on hand for this year’s showing. With area artists and fine crafts people on hand producing their original work, nearly every genre of art imaginable is touched upon including jewelry, basketry, clay and ceramic creations, soap, candles, decorative painting, fine art painting, garden art, metal work, furniture, drawings, and folk art.
While the artists and crafts people are also selling their original work, there is also more for the whole family to enjoy at the “Celebration of the Arts,” too. Numerous kid friendly entertainers and activities will keep the little ones busy and excited throughout the days events which start at 10:00 a.m. and run until 4:00 p.m. many talented regional music acts will perform outdoors in the downtown area throughout the day as well, and local food vendors will be serving up delicious fare and beverages.
